Celtic defender Josip Juranovic is on a list of potential players West Ham are looking to sign in January according to reports.

The Croatian is currently on World Cup duty and won’t be due back at Celtic until much later in December, depending how far Croatia get in the competition.

The speculation surrounding Josip’s future is down to Celtic’s pursuit of Alistair Johnston. Reports from Canada claiming the deal is all but done for the Canadian right-back has many believing Juranovic could be on his way.

Stephen McGowan has also revealed the player was looking for improved terms on his Celtic contract, but the club and player are too far apart to make a deal.

Now 90Mins report Juranovic is on the London club’s radar, but they will NOT make a move until they move some players on to create funds.

We’re seeing a similar pattern emerging with Giakoumakis now, reports on Wednesday evening have claimed the Greek striker and the club are also too far away on wage negotiations and it could pave the way for his January exit. [RecordSport]

It appears Celtic has brought both players to the club and promised them a wage rise should the club be successful in their first season. The two players have set out their demands and the club won’t match them.

Ange Postecoglou warned there would be fan favourite players leaving the building in order for Celtic to progress and keep their momentum. If West Ham or anyone go on and sign Josip, Celtic already have a man in to replace him. If Giakoumakis is to go, it’s also been reported that Celtic are chasing South Korean striker Cho Gue-sung [SunSport].
