Josip Juranovic’s Celtic future remains under the microscope as we head towards January.
The news on Wednesday evening claimed Atletico Madrid are willing to pay around £10m for the Celtic defender. [SunSport]
If that’s correct — I hope Celtic are prepared to tell the Spanish club where to go. A World Cup quarter finalist in a contract until 2026 shouldn’t be going for £10m in this era of football.
Josip is also about to go into the perceived footballers prime age and has a wealth of experience at a high level.
If Celtic are happy to sell the defender after bringing in Alistair Johnston, we must make sure we get top dollar for the Croatian.
£15m at a minimum with a sell on clause would be the least Celtic should be taking for Juranovic.
Ange told Celtic supporters he will have to be aggressive in the transfer market to get the best out this team and help them evolve. You would hope he has a say in what Josip is allowed to go for. The bhoys should be able to reinvest a decent chuck of any fee back into the team.
What do you think Josip should go for?
El cheapo January sales from mug hoops hierarchy are fekn over .. 20 million minimum for a decent international who.s grown with magic modric recently….primark deals no fekn more “
20 million plus and a 15 to 20% sell on fee written in.no more fire sale prices.
