After signing for the Hoops permanently in the summer, the winger has now been named in Portugal’s provisional 55-man squad for the World Cup taking place next month. He’ll be keen to get onto the pitch and put in a few impressive performances as he looks to represent his country on the world’s top stage.
Jota has been absent since the win over St Johnstone after he was subbed off at halftime. Ange Postecoglou claimed that the winger was fatigued, but it seems there is more to it than that, with the star man sidelined for a month.
Starfelt was also spotted back in training, as he looks to build his fitness and displace Moritz Jenz.
