Celtic fell short with a 2-2 draw at home to St. Mirren on Saturday, goals from Kyogo and Callum McGregor ensuring Ange Postecoglou’s men were kept unbeaten at home domestically for over two years.

It wasn’t the greatest performance from the Bhoys agains the Buddies but one Hoops star managed to stand out.

Jota, who was ever present out wide throughout the match, has been included in the latest SPFL Team of the Week along with some of the top performing players from across the top four tiers of Scottish football over the weekend:

In the match, the Portuguese would regularly alternate between the rich and left flanks, constantly threatening and causing headaches for opposition defenders.

He was creative as ever and as of stats provider FotMob, Jota manufactured five opportunities for his teammates and accumulated and xGi (expected goal involvement) of 0.74.

Although the result wasn’t there for Celtic at the weekend, Jota’s lively performance provided a bright spark in an otherwise dull afternoon.
