Celtic will be without one of their star players for the League Cup final on Sunday December 19 after it was confirmed the Portuguese star wouldn’t make it in time to play in the tie.

It’s a major blow for the Hoops!

Jota has been superb since coming into the club and has made his mark. Not having one of our best players for such an important game is not the best preparation.

We’re a Mikey Johnston injury away from having no natural left sided player.

We have to hope Mikey stays fit in the interim and builds some momentum and form.

The Bhoys will still hopefully have big hitters like Kyogo and Callum McGregor to call upon barring any injury disasters in the next ten days.

It’s even more incentive for Ange to play a fringe team on Thursday night against Betis.

The Hoops will be playing their final Europa League game with nothing at stake in footballing terms. We can only hope Jota makes the Glasgow Derby in January.
