They say a week is a long time in football, the last fortnight has seemed like an eternity. The international break came at the wrong time for Celtic. After a narrow 1-0 defeat at Ibrox Ange would have wanted a chance to get things back onto a winning path straight away.

Instead, he got two major headaches thrown in on top of his second league defeat. Kyogo Furuhashi was injured while playing for Japan against China and will be unavailable for 3-4 weeks. That happens in football but yesterdays bombshell came out of nowhere and shocked everyone at Celtic.

Dom McKay stepped down from his position after a few months in the job. Speculation as to why is already rife but let’s just agree it is not good for Celtic as a whole for this to happen now. Big Ange will be glad of Ross County’s visit to Glasgow today. He will be hoping for a return to winning ways too in front of another sold-out Celtic Park.

All eyes will be on the Celtic striker’s position today when the teams are announced. With Edouard and Griffiths heading for the transfer exit doors and Kyogo out injured, who will start up front today?

The manager said a few days ago that new Greek signing Giorgos Giakoumakis had not had enough of a pre-season to start today. That only leaves Albian Ajeti up front who the manager praised for his efforts in training.

With the teams just released officially here is how the Hoops line up today:

Celtic fans will be delighted to see two new faces starting today. Carter-Vickers and Jota start their Celtic careers at Paradise today which will add some new excitement to the fixture.
As predicted Albian Ajeti starts up front with Rogic set up to be a regular starter now under Ange.
