JOTA scored an absolute rocket for the Hoops at Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon, adding to his goal and assist tally for the season which sits at two goals and three assists in three games.

The former Benfica man ran over to the cameras and pointed towards the sky in his celebration and he had something written on his wrist band.

The Celtic star was paying tribute to former Benfica winger Fernando Chalana who passed away at the age of 63 this week.

It was a nice touch by the Celtic hero to acknowledge the passing of a Benfica great.

It was only this summer Jota officially cut ties with Benfica after coming through their youth system.

The player was sent out on loan by the Portuguese club last season and gave Celtic an option to buy at the end of the loan deal. He was such a hit, Celtic made sure they triggered the clause and signed Jota for a very low £6m deal.

Had there been no option to buy, Benfica would have priced the player out of a move to the club for sure.
