Chris Jullien is currently in Germany looking to finalise his move to Schalke.
The French defender is undergoing a thorough medical, with the Newly promoted side cautious over Julliens injury hell. A deal will not be finalised until he passes his medical.
It’s thought that Celtic will look to trigger a clause in his contract that’ll extend the defender’s contract with the Scottish champions by a year, which will allow the club to command a fee from Schalke next summer.
UPDATE: Christopher Jullien will have a fairly thorough medical with Schalke today, before any deal is finalised with Celtic – due to his injury problems.
If the deal is a goer, it’s expected that Celtic will trigger a contract extension to command a fee on the option. https://t.co/lo4kC8KZLS

Chris Jullien’s Celtic Exit is Best for all Parties
Jullien has no future at Celtic, Ange made that clear by isolating him from the team, excluding him from matchday squads and sending him to the B side for the Glasgow Cup.
Having barely kicked a ball for Celtic in 18 months, he’ll be desperate to play some first-team football at a high level. He’s at an age where he wants to play football before considering hanging his boots.
