We have been waiting for a Christopher Jullien return for quite some time now.

It doesn’t help that the big man keeps posting out sand timer emojis on his social media to build anticipation. It seems like an eternity since Christopher last played for Celtic.!

We’re approaching a year of the defender being out since he collided with the post against Dundee Utd in a closed-door Celtic Park.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen the Frenchman in the flesh for the Hoops and fans would love to see the centre-back finally make his return.

After getting back onto the training field, the defender has to finish his rehab, manage his body well, go through his own mini pre-season before trying to get up to speed with Ange’s style of football.

Given there are no down games at the moment with a lot at stake, it’s not likely we’ll see Jullien this side of Christmas or even until the New Year.

If I was a betting man, I’d maybe stick a few quid on the player’s return after the winter break. Celtic have a Scottish Cup game away to Alloa in late January, it could be the best jumping off point for the centre-back.

If Chris manages to show his fitness before then, it’ll be a major boost. However, we shouldn’t be looking for too much too soon.
