The Daily Record are tonight running with a story that claims Dom McKay jumped before he was pushed because the appointment was not working out.

Again, it’s an apparent ‘exclusive’ for a newspaper who people in our board like to do business with.

The paper claims that McKay hadn’t endeared himself to the board and chairman and friction behind the scene came to a head pretty quickly.

CeltsAreHere understands there was thankfully no personal issues with health or family members in the McKay household which promotes this upheaval.

This is purely down to Celtic and McKay not seeing eye to eye on many things at the club.

It would stand to reason this board would push back against new ideas and modernisation. All of the current custodians have been in charge of Celtic during the Peter Lawwell era and look incapable of seeing past the mantra set up by the former chief exec.

It’s an incredible misfire from the club and has again proven we’re nowhere near out the woods when it comes to the restructuring of the club.

Are the board members against major change behind the scenes?

  1. “Are the board members against major change behind the scenes?”

Yes and it seem that all throughout this whole saga they always have been.
    their thinking would likely have been;

Radical appointment/fans like/radical choice of manager with great attacking football in mind/fans like again/get season book money in/fans pay looking forward to new era for the club/club says “nah we’re not doing that after all” and shafts the fans, yet again.

Too many tories on that board. Don’t get me started on Desmond….

    • RFC 1872-2012 had a ‘radical’ board. It involved them cheating their way in an attempt to emulate the history of Celtic. All it did was cost them their own. I know what side I’d rather be on. 51/ 1 – it’s a healthy gap.

  2. If Michael Nicholson is thought to be good enough for the Chief Executive role why did he not get the opportunity before Dom’s arrival In my opinion he is just another puppet for ” behind the scenes Lawell “. As long as this relic remains at the club we will never move forward in a professional manner. Shame on you Celtic.

    • Celtic is a PLC, they cannot have anonymous individuals pulling the strings behind the scenes like a James Bond villain stroking a hairy pussy while puffing on a cigar! If Peter Lawwell was involved with the club it would be listed as such and his role would be defined by a job description. Peter has left the building.

  3. Yet again another piece against the club from Mr Ross.

First, he disagrees with the Record article, calling it spin (he knows nothing of course) and then he AGREES with it and surmises that it would be Celtics fault that they don’t see eye to eye.

And of course the Celtic fans rush into agree becuse nobody hates the club more than Celtic fans. They simply love to be able to play the victim against the satanic board.

The fact the board obviously played a part in sanctioning Ange and the signing of 12 players is clearly dismissed just so everyone can attack the club.

You know what, the anonymous “M.Ross” may be right. However it is the fact that he AUTOMATICALLY has taken his side, and default position, against everyone APART from the new guy, thst is very telling.

Like I say, no one hates the club more than a certain breed of Celtic fan. Using fan media to attack the club knowing ZERO facts is absolutely another example of self harm which will hurt us more than our oppenents accross the city ever could.

    Shame on you.

    • Correct. There is nothing to suggest the validity of these bloggers words. The idea that a board of directors has it in for the organisation from which they earn their wealth and earn their prowess in the business community is beyond ridiculous. Sure they are fallible like us all but for them to have an anti-Celtic agenda is off the scale paranoia and mischief making on an altogether wholescale level and in and of itself could be viewed as an anti-Celtic agenda. For me, I support the club, the manager and the board’s integrity to get Celtic back on track. After all, it is the same board who has presided over Celtic establishing themselves as the biggest and most successful club in Scotland. Let’s not forget RFC died in 2012 and the tribute act are a meaningless as yesteryear’s dirty washing.
