Celtic fans attending last nights game against Queens Park in the Challenge Cup would have been a little disappointed they didn’t get to see Celtic’s midfielder dynamo Karamoko Dembele do his thing.

The player was scheduled to play in the game as part of Celtic’s Colt team in the competition. However, the player didn’t make the match day squad leaving people wondering if the player was maybe away with the first team in Romania.

According to SunSport, the talented 16-year-old was out with a foot injury and couldn’t participate in the first round cup tie.

Celtic Colts beat Queens Park on penalties and made it to the next round of the completion.

There’s a good chance Karamoko will feature in the next round if his injury clears up.

The player made his first team debut last season but there’s no signs of Neil Lennon rushing Dembele into first team prominence before he’s completely ready.
