Celtic’s young duo of Karamoko Dembele and Tobi Oluwayemi were in action this afternoon for England under-18s as they took on Wales in a friendly.

The young England squad came out victors in the end, winning 2-0 with two second-half goals as both Karamoko and Tobi were given a half each in the game.

Dembele will be more of a household name to Hoops fans, as one of the highest thought and brighter prospects to come out of Lennoxtown in recent years with a lot of hype surrounding him.

The 18-year old featured in the first-half showing some bright sparks throughout the 45 minutes.

Oluwayemi may be more of a lesser name to fans out there but the young goalkeeper helped to secure the victory, keeping a clean sheet as a second-half substitute as well as saving three penalties in a bounce penalty shootout between the sides after the game.

Going forward, their future could be bright for this young duo but at the same time for Dembele, his future is currently up in the air and unknown at this stage.

It was expected that the winger would be given a lot more minutes this season but he has been rarely seen apart from a couple of displays earlier in the season and during the Dubai debacle.

For Oluwayemi though, there is hope for a good future at the club, receiving his first-ever, first-team experience, being in and around the squad during the times that players were out due to self-isolation after the same incident in January.
