Karamoko joined the Hoops in 2013, aged 10-years-old, and made his Under-20s’ debut against Hearts just threeshort years later in October 2016, coming off the bench for a side then seven years above his age group.

The highly-rated youngster then made his eagerly-awaited senior debut on the final league game of the 2018/19 season in Celtic’s 2-1 win over Hearts. Dembele then accompanied the rest of the squad in the Treble Treble celebrations at Hampden as the side clinched the Scottish Cup.

He made his European debut against Cluj in 2019, becoming the youngest ever footballer to play for a Scottish team in European competition.

“It means a lot to me to start my professional career at Celtic. I came here at a young age, and, after all the stuff me and family have been through together, it’ll be good to make them proud.”

Going into season 2021/22, the youngster had played eight first-team games and celebrated his first goal for the club when the Hoops beat St Johnstone 4-0 on May 12, 2021.

Karamoko Dembele has featured for both Scotland and England at youth level while also being eligible to represent Ivory Coast.
