CELTIC took on Hibernian in the Reserve Cup Semi Final on Monday afternoon at Lennoxtown and the bhoys blew the Easter Road side away.

This developmental side has been dominant this year so far, beating some top opposition down south and when the team came out, you just knew there was going to be goals.

Celtic fielded a very strong side (Celtic Starting XI) which included Patryk Klimala, Imsaila Soro, Hatem Elhamed and Karamoko Dembele.

Hibernian could only hold out until the 18th minute when summer signing Luca Connell bagged the first goal of the game with a deflected volley.

The last kick of the first half saw Celtic double their lead with an absolute rocket of a shot from Karamoko Dembele.

In the second half, Celtic continued their dominance and Patryk Klimala got his goal with a quality chip over the Hibernian goalkeeper.

Hibs would hit back with a consolation goal to make it 3-1 but the bhoys weren’t done yet, specifically Karamoko Dembele who ran rings round his opponents on the 65th minute to slot home a fourth.

Game over, and to add insult to injury Hibs had a man sent off for a cynical challenge on substitute Barry Coffey.

A great day for the bhoys and all the goal scorers laying down a marker.
