Celtic goalkeeper Conor Hazard will return to the Scottish champions after almost a year long loan spell at Finish side HJK Helsinki [HJK Helsinki].

The 24-year old made his breakthrough into the Celtic team during the disastrous 2020/21 campaign but created history as he became a Quadruple Treble winner.

Hazard was handed a chance in the dead rubber Europa League match against Lille in which he impressed in that led to him being selected for the postponed 2020 Scottish Cup final in what was just his third appearance for the club

The Hoops were by no means at their best that day, but Hazard pulled off back-to-back saves during the tense penalty shootout that allowed Kristoffer Ajer to secure a historic Quadruple Treble.

He then fell out of favour later that season as things began to implode and hasn’t made a first team appearance for Celtic since January 2021.

Having brought Joe Hart to the club last summer, Hazard was a good bit down the pecking order before heading off to Scandinavia.

He quickly established himself as the first choice pick having made 39 appearances for the club and became a Finnish league champion during his stay.

Even though he has been such a key player for Helsinki this past season he will be returning to Glasgow having also picked up the supporters player of the year award.

It is not yet known what the future holds for the young keeper.
