Kenny Miller who played for both Glasgow clubs has admitted that Celtic so far look the better of the two teams from what he’s watched already this season.

Although the former Scotland internationalist will be remembered more for his time at Ibrox, he did win the double under Gordon Strachan in 2006/07.

The former striker now turned pundit on Sportscene doesn’t see any quarter being given before the first derby match of the season at the beginning of September but believes Ange Postecoglou’s team look the better of the two sides.

Both clubs have won both their games so far with Celtic sitting at the top of the table with a one goal advantage.

“Celtic have started playing a bit better, they look really excited going forward,” said Kenny Miller speaking on BBC Sportscene.

“But Celtic and Rangers, I can’t see either of them dropping too many points before that derby on September 3.”

There is of course no trophies or medals handed out in August as Postecoglou reminded many journalists last season however, the Celtic camp is much more settled now with Saturday’s victory in the Highlands being the Hoops 34th game in the league unbeaten since the defeat against Livingston last September.

The current champions showed tremendous form last season after an inconsistent start which will be something the team look to continue going forward.

Postecoglou will have another full week with his side to prepare for the visit to Rugby Park next Sunday to take on newly promoted Kilmarnock.
