The water has been muddied with what’s going on with a potential Keiran Tierney to Arsenal or Napoli transfer in the last month. One particular Arsenal account has told his 300k followers that Kieran Tierney to the Emirates was a done deal more than once. It just simply was untrue and an attempt to suss the situation, rather than anything they were being told.

So what do we actually know about the Kieran Tierney transfer situation and what have we got from official sources to back this up?

  • Speaking at the start of July, Neil Lennon confirmed there had been one bid but not a second which had been reported.

  • Arsenal have only made ONE bid for the player which was thrown out – they have not been back since as confirmed by Neil Lennon.

  • Kieran’s agent hinted the player could move if Arsenal were to pay what Celtic are asking but stopped short of saying it was a stick-on if the clubs were to agree a fee.

To sum up, there has only ever been one bid at the moment for the Celtic star and that was deemed very low by the club with Neil Lennon commenting:

“It’s going to have to take a lot more than what they’ve offered the first time around to give us a decision to make.” the Celtic manager confirmed to SunSport.

We’re not calling this deal one way or another. We’re just trying to add some clarity to the situation with Arsenal fans desperate to land the player and Celtic fans desperate to keep him, everybody is on edge.
