Former Celtic star Kieran Tierney believes that Kevin Nisbet and Celtic would be a perfect fit.

The 25-year-old defender is a good pal of the Hibs forward and both have spent time together on the pitch at Scotland camps.

He thinks that Nisbet could score as many goals as he pleases if he got the chance to make the move.

In recent weeks, Nisbet has been linked to the league leaders after he returned from injury having scored seven goals in his last six games. [SunSport]

His contract at Easter Road doesn’t expire until next summer but there appears to be interest from other clubs in the 25-year-old striker.

“Kev’s the kind of player who could go anywhere, not just Celtic, and score. He’s a born goalscorer,” said Kieran Tierney speaking to the Scottish Sun.

“I was playing in the younger age groups with him, he was always the top goalscorer for us.

“One season, he had over 100 goals. I know it’s different when you’re younger. But you still don’t score 100 goals if you are not a natural goalscorer.

“So he could easily score goals at any level, I’ve no doubt about that.”

The rumoured interest in Nisbet appeared to be nothing more than speculation as Celtic have set their sights on 21-year-old South Korean striker Oh Hyeon-gyu who has been made an offer which he isn’t likely to refuse.
