Scott Brown did Celtic a huge favour on Wednesday evening by scoring at Ibrox and taking two points off the home side in the process.

It could have been all three, but a very dodgy penalty given to the Ibrox club towards the end of the game rescued a point.

Brown was back at Ibrox for the first time since leaving Celtic and made the most of it. Not known for getting among the goals, his brilliant header put the away side up two nil on the night.

The Celtic legend looked delighted and celebrated with his teammates.

After the game, Broony took to social media, posting a clip of his goal with just two words ‘enjoyed that’. We did too!

Ex-Celtic players were quick to respond to their former captain.

Kieran Tierney, Scott Sinclair, Shane Duffy, Fillip Benkovic and Gary Hooper enjoyed watching their former Celtic teammate stick it to the Ibrox club.

Celtic are just two points off the top spot and could go top of the league on Saturday with a win against Livingston. The Ibrox club aren’t playing until Sunday.

  1. A big win on Saturday and see how the rangers international cope with the pressure. They are already 1-0 up with obligatory penalty and will play against 10 men for about 30-40 minutes at least but they are still a bit shaky. I presume it will be one of their season ticket holders refereeing the game. Beaton the Bear probably won’t as he had his turn to play for them last night. Bobby ‘East Kilbride Loyal’ Madden might be due his turn to get them into the CL as they will take any help they can get. Not even a hint of embarrassment from the horde as they take advantage of their loyal servants in black.
