KIERAN TIERNEY took part in a Q&A with the Celtic Fans for the special Christmas edition of the Celtic View this week and he was asked some weird and wonderful questions.
One of the more sensible questions was ‘ Which One Celtic Player From The past Would You Like to Play Alongside?’
Tierney replied: “I’d like Bobo Balde to play at centre-back and me at left-back for a game. I would have said Henrik as well but I got the chance to play with him at Broony’s testimonial.
“That was a dream come true. There’s a picture of both of us on the pitch at the same time and I’ll always have that picture. That was a dream for me. I think about going to the games he was playing in when I was growing up and then being able to play with him. It’s crazy.”
Bobo Balde was as dominating and as scary as they come. There will be some former opposition strikers still having nightmares about the big defender to this day.
Bobo played in a back three alongside Johan Mjallby and Joos Valgaeren – the three defenders were synonymous with the Martin O’Neill era.
As choices go, I doubt Bobo would make it onto most supporters lists but Kieran can pick whoever he likes!
One day someone will be wishing they got to play alongside him!
