KIERAN TIERNEY has bestowed special praise on one of his Celtic team-mates after seeing the midfielder have another sensational game against Aberdeen last weekend.

The Celtic defender has told the fans he hates coming up against James Forrest in training because of the player’s natural ability, it becomes difficult to try and play against him

Speaking about James to CelticTV, the player was full of praise for the tricky winger.

“James has scored great goals and important goals this season. That shows how good a player he is.

“He is one of the best players I have ever played with. I’m so pleased for him. He’s such a hard worker.

“I hate playing against him in training because he’s just so difficult to go up against.

“He is one that keeps his head down, he doesn’t like the headlines, he is happy to get on with his football. He’s a special player.”

James Forrest looks a stick-on for Celtic’s player of the year with the season he’s had. The midfielder has been great the past two seasons but this year, in particular, he has taken his game to a new level.

His goals have been invaluable and the way he terrorises defences up and down the land with his direct play has been a pleasure to watch.

We could imagine Tierney’s trepidation at trying to keep James at bay during a training session. James’ goal at the weekend sent Celtic on their way to another Scottish Cup Final and the player spoke about his wonder goal on Wednesday evening.
