KIERAN TIERNEY has sent a message of support to John Kennedy as he gets set to name his first team as Celtic interim boss on Saturday.

John has been at Celtic his whole career and has worked at various levels at the club. Kieran and John will be very familiar because of that.

Kennedy was a coach for Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers and Kieran was still there when Neil Lennon returned and he was handed the assistant managers role.

Since then, Kieran got a £25m move to Arsenal where he has become a hero over the past two years. Last night he grabbed his teammates kicking and screaming into the next round of the Europa League. The former Celtic defender grabbing a second half goal which proved vital in the end.

After the game, Kieran took to social media to wish John Kennedy the best of luck taking the team for the rest of the season.
