There was a huge bond among the players since the invincible season and you can see that coming through on social media as Scott Sinclair departs the club.

The winger was announced as a Preston player on Wednesday and since then the supporters, as well as players past and present, have been wishing Scott good luck with his new club.

The two most notable ex-Celts to wish Sinclair well were former full-backs Kieran Tierney and Mikael Lustig who both left the club in the summer.

All three played through and contributed to the treble treble and there will be friendships made for life even when people do move on. It’s part and parcel of the game that players will always move around – there still seems to be a bond there.

Scott Brown and Leigh Griffiths were among the current crop of players to wish the midfielder well with Preston.

Celtic will begin life after Sinclair in just over a week when they take on Partick Thistle in the League Cup.
