KIERAN TIERNEY has had a little dig about ‘off the field stuff’ after Celtic emerged victorious in the Glasgow Derby.

The talented left back has been a mainstay on Brendan Rodgers’ side and has played a huge part in the club’s continual success over their Glasgow rivals.

Speaking to the Celtic View the Scottish defender was over the moon to get another derby victory to his name and it felt even better knowing what was said off the field before it.

He said: “Every time we beat them it feels sweet. A lot of off the field stuff was going on in the lead-up to this, but I felt we answered a lot of critics in this game with our performance. If it wasn’t for their goalkeeper, it could have been a lot more than 1-0.”

The defender was very animated at full time when Celtic Park erupted with the bhoys bagging an important three points.

Kieran was obviously referring to the hype train that a lot of media outlets were partaking in with regards to the abilities of this Ibrox side.

They had beaten a couple of poor teams in Europe and they were suddenly world beaters coming to Celtic Park to destroy the champions.

Instead, Tierney and his teammates bossed the game and scored a fantastic counter attacking goal to make sure of all three points.
