Kieran Tierney has drawn attention on social media after featuring in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Spurs at the Emirates. The Scotland international came on in the 77th minute, operating as a left winger for the remainder of the match.

Despite ongoing reports linking him with a pre-contract agreement to rejoin Celtic, Mikel Arteta showed no hesitation in handing Tierney a role in a high-stakes derby, a testament to the defender’s professionalism and reliability.

Following the game, Tierney posted a photo of himself in action, accompanied by a simple salute emoji. While some fans interpreted the post as a possible farewell signal, others saw it as a nod to his performance on the night.

Pre-Contract Possibilities

Reports suggest Tierney is edging closer to a pre-contract agreement with Celtic, [Sky Scotland] but the path to a January return could still require negotiations.

Should an agreement be reached, Celtic would need to broker a deal with Arsenal to bring the former fan favourite back to Glasgow before the summer window.

Tierney’s bond with Celtic remains as strong as ever, with the defender having openly expressed his love for the club since departing in 2019. If a return materialises, it would be a significant moment for both the player and the fans who have long hoped to see him wear the Hoops again.

  1. What a signing not just for Celtic but a boost that an spl club can bring a talented player to the league yes it’s a lot to do with our club unbroken history a club since 1888

  2. We need to start making moves to assist the squad. We’re halfway through the window.

This run of fixtures has been horrendous and all because of 3 x fortnight shutdowns to to accomodate glorified international friendlies.

I’d gladly give most of the guys who have been carrying that burden, the weekend off to make sure they’ve had some rest for the YB game.

Yes, a treble would be great but CL qualification matters much more.
