As everyone probably knows already Celtic and Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish, 69 was admitted to hospital on Wednesday for treatment of an infection which required intravenous antibiotics. While in hospital he tested positive for Coronavirus despite shown no symptoms.

With not too much good news hitting our headlines lately on this deadly virus, readers will be happy to learn that that former Scotland international has been released from the hospital to finish isolation from the comfort of his own home.

King Kenny had these words to say when he left hospital about his experience and treatment.

“People may think my name got me the best of care but every patient in the NHS gets the best of care,” Dalglish told The Sunday Post.

“As a nation, we are lucky to have them and I wish them all well as they work tirelessly to help the country through this pandemic.”

King Kenny has a huge collection of football honours in both Scotland and England as a player and manager, won by one of the most creative players Scotland has ever produced. His son and daughter also took to social media to thank fans from all walks of life for their messages of support.
