If there’s one thing you take away from Kris Boyd’s input into the next Celtic manager; he spends much more time thinking about Celtic and our support than he probably should.

Today, we were greeted with an article trying to play down the potential Eddie Howe appointment which seems to be gathering so much momentum.

Boyd seems irked Celtic fans are excited about Eddie coming in and rather than recognising he’s the best manager Celtic could have feasibly landed he’s trying his best to throw cold water over it.

The monster munching pundit believes Howe could be more like Tony Mowbray than Brendan Rodgers.

“But there’s a real danger this job is too big for someone who has never worked for a club where the only thing that matters is winning.” He wrote in his SunSport column.

“Howe did a good job at Bournemouth — but there is no comparison with Glasgow and the intensity of working in that environment.”

This is a guy who embraced a novice manager over at the other side of the city three years ago when all he had done to that point is manage a reserve side.

The transparent attempt to be actively negative to just about everything Celtic do is why he’s not a pundit and just another thick supporter; an ever changing narrative to suit his own agenda.

He hates everything about Celtic, yet he can’t help but talk about us – even after the team he supports wins the league.
