IBROX CHEERLEADER Kris Boyd has admitted his beloved club may not win the league this season, making a remarkable u-turn.

All year, fans who have tuned into Sky Sports have had to deal with the pundit talk about how good the Rangers are. He was confident his former club would storm the league, and Celtic would be no challenge.

However, writing in The Sun, he has retracted these comments and has started making excuses for the Ibrox side, writing;

‘For sure, Celtic are in pole position to win the Premiership title, with Rangers now facing even more games in Europe.’

On Saturday afternoon, Celtic have the chance to go six points clear of second place, with a much superior goal difference.

The league is Celtic’s to lose. They have two league derbies to play, which could prove decisive.

Win at Ibrox in April, and the league is most definitely returning to Parkhead. That’s easier said than done. However, it’s more than achievable going on the recent domestic form of the two sides but we can take nothing for granted.
