Serie A giants AC Milan have reportedly ended their interest in Celtic and Norweigan defender Kristoffer Ajer.

According to Sky Sports, with the Italian sides recent signing of Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori, who spent the season on loan there, Milan are now no longer looking to make a move for the defender.

During last years transfer windows, the Italians pursuit of the 23-year old was very public and went right down to the wire at times, with interest on deadline day.

It is now certain at this stage that Ajer will be departing the club this year with his admission that he plans to move on after the Hoops promised him a move in the coming months.

At this stage, English Premier League sides such as Norwich and Newcastle United have supposedly been interested in bring Ajer down south. However, you would imagine he and possibly the club are holding out for a bigger money move.
