Kristoffer Ajer had to go off during Celtic’s draw with Lille on Thursday night. A very frustrating thing when you take into account Celtic lost their two goals after the big man was off the field.

Ajer could be seen in pain on the pitch just before he was subbed and it didn’t look good.

After the game, Neil Lennon have us an update on the players health.

“He felt his groin go so it’s not great by the looks of things.” Lennon told SunSport.

“We’ll need to see how long he’s out for but he looks a doubt for Sunday.”

It’s becoming beyond a joke now with our centre-back injury woes. We never seem to have our too defenders all fit at the same time.

It speaks to our luck this season, not having some of our top players for vital games has hurt us, no doubt about it.

Ajer now missing the Aberdeen semi-final suggests a pairing of Shane Duffy and Nir Bitton for the game, which isn’t ideal considering in a good day we could have Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien.
