CELTIC youngster Leo Hjelde who is currently out on loan at Ross County has been named in an SPFL team of the week after scoring his first senior goal.

The 17-year-old became Ross County’s youngest ever scorer in the top flight when he scored at the weekend.

We have been behind the young lad and ave been keeping our readers informed about the Norwegian’s progress in the second half of the season.

There’s every chance the young lad could make his Celtic full first team debut next season under a new manager. There has been a lot a buzz about the defender and he could be part of a young, new and exciting squad. The parallels between himself and Kristoffer Ajer could mean he is the defender’s long term replacement.

For Celtic right now, it’s all about seeing out this season. Nobody knows where they will be after the summer. The club needs to make sure they make the right appointment when it comes to the next manager of the football club.

  1. And who pray tell will replace him should he be injured? Not replacing like for like, and a back up, that’s what has killed Celtic since 1970. Time to change, nothing wrong with penny pinching. But you cannot build a team over five years. You build one, and constantly improve it, by spending lots of money in the first instance.
