CELTIC signed Kundai Benyu in the summer window of 2017. His name will be forgotten by much of the Celtic support, only making two appearances in green and white, only one of which was in the league.

The Brendan Rodgers signing was regarded as one for the future, but that turned out to not be the case, with Celtic quickly loaning him out six months after his arrival before loaning him out again the following year.

He was one of many Brendan Rodgers signings that just didn’t have what it takes to make it.

When he left Celtic, he joined Wealdstone. After making 15 appearances for the National League club, his contract was terminated, and he was on the move again.

He headed to Iceland, joining Vestri, making 16 appearances for the club before making an internal transfer to Vestmannaejar for the 2022 season.

But before this move, he represented Zimbabwe in the African Cup of Nationals, making two appearances.

Since his move to Vestmannaejar in July, he’s made six appearances for the side which is battling relegation from the Icelandic top tier.

It’s fair to say he’s not lived up to expectations, playing for relegation-threatened sides in Iceland.
