KYOGO FURUHASHI and Matt O’Riley sent messages out to the fans the evening after the night before.

The Japanese striker only entered the fray when Real Madrid were 2-0 to the good. His injury picked up in the Glasgow Derby saw Ange opt for Giorgios Giakoumakis to start the Champions League.

Celtic held off and gave as good as they got in the first half, but eventually succumbed to Real Madrid’s quality in the second half.

Kyogo and Matt were both blown away by the support and by the sounds of things, it’s inspired them to go on and prove themselves even more over the next five games.

It’s Shakhtar up for Celtic next in Europe, then a double header against RB Leipzig. It’s going to be interesting to see how the bhoys do in the competition after Tuesday night’s performance.
