CELTIC beat St Johnstone on Saturday afternoon at Celtic Park with a controlled and effective performance.

Giakoumakis got his first start for the Hoops and got his first goal in the process.

Even though the striker got his goal and helped Celtic to the victory, it was clear sacrificing Kyogo in a wide position is not something Celtic should be doing on a regular basis.

The man from Japan finds it difficult to effect the game from the wide position and is less of a nuisance.

Giakoumakis gives us another great option and he can start games if we’re looking to freshen things up, but Kyogo has to be known and play most of his games as our top striker – it’s as simple as that.

Celtic have won three games on the bounce since the international break and the team is in a good place as they head to Easter Road on Wednesday.

We will have to be at our best to beat Jack Ross and his Hibs side.
