Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou appears to be keeping his cards close to his chest with his latest injury update, as he revealed he was unable to make a call as of yet on the fitness of Kyogo Furuhashi and James Forrest.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup final against Hibernian at Hampden Park, the 56-year old will likely be desperate for both played to return given his lack of attacking options in the last game.

However, he was unable to make a call on either player at this stage as we await to see if the duo can feature for the Hoops this weekend.

The fitness of both players could play a crucial part in Sunday’s cup final. Particularly Kyogo, who has been such a key figure under Ange this season.

Whether this update is some mind games towards the Easter Road side remains to be seen. However, I think it is likely to be a 50/50 call on their fitness going into the crucial fixture.

Celtic fans will have their fingers crossed that both are able to make a return to action after a short absence.
