KYOGO FURAHASHI wrote a farewell message to the Vissel Kobe support as he signed off from the J-League with a goal on Saturday.

The attacker is popular in Japan and there are a lot of eyes on him now he’s heading to Celtic to play under Ange Postecoglou.

Interest in Celtic is likely to be very high in Japan this season. Celtic are already preparing a Japanese Twitter account to serve new fans that come along for the ride.

Kyogo thanked everyone for their support and is now packing his bags to come to Glasgow.

Today it’s been a very special day for me. The Shinhan Derby was my last match with Vissel Kobe.

Today an unforgettable stage in my sports career comes to an end, in a wonderful city that will always be my home. It has been a great honor to wear this jersey, defend our shield and win the first titles in the Club’s history. When I arrived here, I never thought I would experience so many wonderful moments. I have been really fortunate to be able to live this experience with great teammates, coaches, members of the coaching staff and Club employees.

To my teammates and coaches, thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to grow. Since I came to the Club until today, I have learnt from all of you with admiration and respect. Your support has been essential to ignite my passion for football, my will to improve and do my best to help the team in every single match. I will always wish you the best.

To our fans, I have no words to thank you for all the love I have received since I arrived in Kobe. Thank you for these fantastic and challenging years. Your passion and unconditional support are our motivation to move forward and never give up.

Thanks for everything,
Kyogo Furuhashi

Celtic are in desperate need of someone who can put the ball in the back of the net. Scoring 15 goals already this season, Kyogo could be the man to help Celtic get back to winning ways.

The bhoys lost 1-0 to Preston in Ange Postecoglou’s first game at Celtic Park. Their Champions League tie on Tuesday will come too soon for Kyogo but we’re hoping he can get into the side shortly.

The fact he’s already up to match speed and doesn’t need to find his fitness before coming into the side is a bonus for Celtic. The attacker could start our first SPFL game at the end of this month.
