Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi is already looking forward to the Hoops’ trip to Croatia on Tuesday after netting off the bench in their 3-0 win over Hibernian yesterday.

The Japanese frontman was introduced with 22 minutes to go, taking Adam Idah’s place up top.

Kyogo made a positive impact on proceedings, netting his side’s third of the afternoon shortly after being introduced.

The striker’s fellow substitute, James Forrest, won the ball back high up the pitch and, after playing an effective one-two with Reo Hatate, fired it into Kyogo, who expertly controlled the ball on his instep. He then sat Hibs goalkeeper Matt Smith down before lifting it over him and into the back of the net.

It was the 29-year-old’s eighth of the season, and he is already hungry for more ahead of Celtic’s return to UEFA Champions League action on Tuesday.

Indeed, after netting yesterday, Kyogo took to Instagram this morning, vowing to do his best in the next game:

After moving nine points clear of Aberdeen with a game in hand at the top of the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, Celtic’s focus now shifts back to the European scene.

The Bhoys know a victory over Dinamo on Tuesday would all but guarantee a place in the playoffs for the last 16 of the Champions League in what could be a season-defining week for Brendan Rodgers’ men.

  1. You can never take the wee Japanese talisman for granted, before James put in a clever reverse ball for Kyogo, he had run back to press for the ball along with James, as soon as he saw the ball being won back he turned on his heels, then Reo and James played a neat one two, then James played in Kyogo.

The way Kyogo took the ball from James with his instep, he then moved forward and within a blink of your eye, he then very cleverly sat Smith down before drinking the ball over the grounded Hibs keeper, the ball ended up in the back of the net for Kyogos goal no8 and celtics third.

Takes you back a cpl of years and Kyogo single handedly beating hibs to win the final at hampden.

Everyone who watched Kyogos goal were nothing short of their praise for the skill he has, he’s an absolute nightmare for any teams defence, they have no idea where he’s going to pop up, playing off the shoulder of the last defender has them all terrified, and rightly so with him showing everyone exactly what he an do, time after time and game after game.

Now all eyes are set for the crucial CL game in Zagreb, celtic have got it in them to win and virtually book their place in the play offs.

Then depending on how other results go, and looking forward if they could win their last three games, a very tall order but not entirely impossible.

Aston Villa have one of if not thee best goalkeeper, the game against the EPL side will be hard enough at villa park, but add in their keeper Martinez, before that last game is Young Boys, who up until now sit in the bottom group of teams, but still very capable of pulling off any shock result.

But up first is Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb, a tall order but if celtic bring their A game, then there no reason why we can’t beat them.

Celtic are absolutely flying this season on all fronts, dropping only 2 points in the league, doing well in the new format CL group stage, and after the game in Croatia is sevco in the league cup final.

Our biggest threat in that game is the choice of match ref, no surprise that thr sfa have give John Beaton this crucial cup final slot.

He’s our biggest threat as he’s got past form of “helping the club he supports,” so all eyes will be on how well he does as the two teams perform.
