There’s a bit of good news on the Kyogo front for Celtic. Unlike the rumours swirling around about Callum McGregor’s possible inclusion in the Scotland team while he remains on the injured list for Celtic – Kyogo will NOT be travelling with the Japan squad in early October.

Japan based journalist Dan Orlowitz confirmed the full squad for Hapan’s international endeavours next month and the Celtic star has not been chosen.

There was a concern Japan could look to bring the player back into the fold, especially when Ange already said the wee man should be able to go again for Celtic after the international break.

Kyogo was injured during the last international break and Celtic have suffered as a result. In just the space of a few days, Celtic sold Edouard, loaned out Griffiths then saw Kyogo go out injured with Japan.

Celtic have struggled with injuries and are further behind in the title race because of it.

The hoops need Kyogo back as soon as possible, we need more pace and movement up front.
