Kyogo Furuhashi wil be the guest of honour this weekend at Vissel Kobe. The Celtic striker is in Japan at the moment and will be at Vissel’s next home game to make a special appearance.

However, while he’s there Kyogo has decided to join in on a training session with his old club and catch up with Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta ahead of the new season.

Celtic players are due back on Monday but the international bhoys get a bit more time off. That’s not stopping Kyogo from working on his fitness and speaks to how seriously he takes things.

We caught a glimpse of how focused the Japanese contingent is when it comes to their fitness back at Tannadice in May. After Celtic clinched the league, Kyogo, Maeda and Reo were all back out on the pitch doing their warm downs while the players were still celebrating in the dressing room.

Kyogo has had top first season with, even though he was injured for around half of that time. The Hoops striker helped Celtic to a League and Cup double.

The Japanese star will also join his friend Iniesta in becoming a Champions League player. The Bhoys are primed and ready to join the group stage after winning the title.
