Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has thanked the Hoops fans for their support during his time injured, as the frontman made his return to action on Saturday afternoon.

The 27-year old has been missing from action since the Boxing Day win over St Johnstone, which has led to him missing the entire second half of the campaign.

However, Kyogo has made his return at a crucial point in the season, coming on to play his part in the 7-0 victory over St Johnstone on Saturday afternoon.

Taking to Instagram, Kyogo thanked the Celtic fan base for their support during his struggles out injured, stating that he was ‘very happy’ to have played his part.

“Very happy to play again and to help the team,” he said.

“What a win!

“Thanks to everyone who rooted for me during this time.”

The Celtic star received a brilliant reception when making his return at Paradise yesterday afternoon, with fans delighted to see him make his long-awaited return.

It couldn’t have come at a better time either, with the up-and-coming fixtures domestically and the injury to Giakoumakis in yesterday’s win.

The Japanese internationalist will be desperately hoping to play his part, which could ultimately be crucial in deciding the Hoops fate this season.
