Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi appears to be ready to go this weekend as the Japanese international gears up for a return to action in the Glasgow derby fixture against Rangers.

The 27-year old has faced a spell on the sidelines through injury after sustaining a long-term knock to his hamstring, which has kept him out for the entire second half of the campaign.

However, Kyogo is not gearing up for a return, with Ange Postecoglou confirming his availability for this weekend’s crucial derby at Ibrox.

Taking to Instagram (@kyogo_furuhashi), the Hoops star posted a picture via his story from training as he gears up for that return, adding to the fan’s excitement of his long-awaited return to action.

Although it seems unlikely at this stage that he will play a part from the start on Sunday afternoon, it is a huge boost to have Kyogo back in contention and potentially play a role.

Not only for this weekend’s game but the remaining eight (or nine) fixtures we have left of the season, as Ange Postecoglou and his side look to add more silverware this campaign.

Kyogo could put down a real marker of his return this weekend by adding a goal to his tally for the season. But we will have to wait and see if he is involved first.
