Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi looks set to miss the Japanese international sides up-and-coming World Cup qualifiers, meaning he will remain in Glasgow with Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

There has been a lot of speculation regarding whether the 26-year old will miss the Hoops fixtures in the next few weeks due to being away on international duty with Japan.

However, as translated by Twitter account @esperbymitsume, a report from Yahoo Japan has stated that the Celtic frontman will now miss his nations final qualifying fixtures.

This appears to be due to the injury issues that has ruled Kyogo out on a return to action for the first Premiership game on Monday against Hibs, which could also mean he will miss the Derby at the beginning of next month.

But, if Kyogo was to recover in time, then he would be available for selection.

So, now the concern regarding his selection for international duty is over, we must play the waiting game and hope that the striker can recover from his injury as quickly as possible.
