TOM ROGIC will start against Japan this morning for Australia in their World Cup qualifier, but his Celtic teammate Kyogo Furuhashi again has to settle for a place on the bench for his country.

There’s been a lot of pressure on the Japan boss to play Kyogo from the start but he’s not bowed to the pressure.

In their last outing, Kyogo was brought on late as a winger and couldn’t affect the game.

For Celtic fans, they’ll be happy if Kyogo gets no game time this morning against Australia. The biggest thing for Hoops supporters is the man from Japan returns to Glasgow unscathed after the last international break.

Kyogo returned from Japan injured in September and it was only in the last two weeks he’s been back in the fold for Celtic.

Tom has played a lot of football for Celtic this season, more minutes than he usually gets on a football field because of the lack of squad depth. Another start today will be challenging for the Australian but he has been in good form.
