It feels as though Kyogo has been rattling in the goals all season for Celtic and Ange Postecoglou.

And the Japanese has, although his status as top scorer in the Scottish Premiership is not quite secure yet.

In the league in 2022/23, Kyogo has bagged 25 goals; however, Hearts’ Lawrence Shankland has 24, along with Kevin Van Veen of Motherwell.

The duo are clearly in close pursuit of the Celtic striker, and on the final weekend, all three will be vying for the crown of Scottish Premiership top scorer for 2022/23.

Kyogo probably has the best chance of winning the award, as he is already one ahead of Shankland and Van Veen and has the best fixture out of the lot.

Celtic are at home to Aberdeen on trophy day; meanwhile, Shankland has to face Hibs in the Edinburgh derby on Saturday, and Van Veen’s Steelmen are up against Dundee United a day later.

It would be a great surprise not to see Kyogo walk away as top scorer, although one never knows.

Nevertheless, if he starts on trophy day, it is highly likely he will get himself among the goals and contribute to starting a party in Glasgow’s east end.
