Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi failed to get on the scoresheet this evening against Dundee at Celtic Park.
Despite winning the Hoops a penalty, Kyogo failed to convert a number of chances, including two clear-cut opportunities that he really should have scored at least one from.
The first chance tested Jon McCracken with a respectable save, but in all honesty, Kyogo should have scored with his second great chance, which he scuffed wide in a truly frustrating moment in the Dundee box.
It was clear that if he had connected properly with the ball, he would have scored.
Kyogo’s form has been up and down at times, but tonight will be a game he looks back on frustratingly.
With Adam Idah in contention to play against Aberdeen on Saturday, it will be very interesting to see who Brendan Rodgers starts at Hampden in the League Cup semi-final.

Given Idah’s impressive cameo off the bench on Sunday against Motherwell, where he scored a goal, the Irishman is pushing Kyogo, which is a great sign that Celtic have competition up top.
Kyogo has at times this season risen to the occasion when it counts most, with Idah’s signing pushing him to find his best form.
With a huge couple of days in training ahead, Idah and Kyogo will battle it out to take on the in-form Aberdeen, who defeated Rangers 2-1 at Pittodrie this evening.
