BRENDAN RODGERS was asked about Sunday’s title clincher that the SPFL were trying to avoid by penciling it in for the second game of the split.

Just under a month ago the SPFL dragged their feet over the post-split fixtures. With Celtic in a position to clinch the title on the first game after the split, they chose not to put the Glasgow Derby in that spot – which was the original plan.

Instead, they put both Glasgow sides up against Edinburgh opposition and Brendan Rodgers wonders how much thought actually went into the whole scenario.

“It clearly wasn’t overly thought out,” Rodgers said

“They sent us to probably the most in-form team away at Hibs, so it clearly wasn’t that thought out”

“The way it works up here, is the last five games are always going to be hard games”

“It’s how it’s set up, we have to accept that”

Brendan Rodgers seems focussed for Sunday where he can clinch the title in front of a raucous Celtic support.

  1. It did not matter to Celtic who we played against to give us the League Title. But the fact the who did not want Celtic at Ibrokes just got a Very Severe Kick in the Goolies.
They may of course try and influence the Result in different ways still..⚽???Not that I would expect any Bias from any of the Officials to try and derail another Trible

  2. The Titles Ours..No one is Going to Deny Us this position. There is only so much Blatant Dodgy decisions these scandalous refs can make,And over time there has been a good few.But all we’d hear is Paranoia.;)Glasgow is most certainly Green n White..HfH HWG10IAR
