The Socceroos always feel like they’re swimming against the tide when it comes to having their manager’s and players recognised as top talents throughout the world and not just on their door step.
Today represents a massive moment for Australian coaches that may have felt there was a glass ceiling for them in the profession.
Ange has taken the long way around to get here but he could be the first of many to make the move into European football in the coming years. If the manager can produce then it will certainly raise the profile of the current crop of young Australian managers.
