There’s still nine hours left of our poll on Scott Brown’s inclusion in the Celtic starting XI on Sunday and there’s no room for sentiment among a lot of the support.

We asked our followers should the Celtic captain start the game against Hearts this weekend after Neil Lennon intimated he was going to play some of the old bhoys who had brought us to this particular dance.

The answer has been overwhelming.

A whopping 82% at the moment don’t think Scott should start, with many believing Ismaila Soro is the way to go after the last two games.

Nobody is hating on Scott Brown, but at this point in his career his influence inside the dressing room should be bigger than his influence on the pitch.

Dropping in-form players out of sentiment is a dangerous game. If it backfires for Neil, there will be the most brutal of inquests, it would also halt any momentum we’ve managed to gain over the last two games.

We think Neil Lennon has already made his mind up and we can win with Scott in the team but it’s all about giving ourselves the best chance to succeed, are we doing that if we’re not playing our best players?
