It’s not been the best season for Vasilis Barkas and it’s gone from bad to worse for the Celtic goalkeeper.

The International break is almost upon us but not for Barkas as the Greek goalkeeper failed to earn a call-up to his country.

Barkas has had a horrible season where’s he’s been in and out of the team and when he has played, the goalkeeper hasn’t inspired confidence.

Fans often don’t take into account the personal side of things when it comes to how a player settles into the team.

The goalie came in during a pandemic, leaving his country for the first time in his career and living in Glasgow when isolation has been a major factor.

Neil Lennon destroyed the goalkeepers confidence during this term and it appears as if John Kennedy won’t be offering him a reprieve. Could the goalie be heading for the Parkhead exit this summer? Having paid £5m for Barkas last summer, Celtic would likely take a big loss.
