If you’re not lucky enough to have a ticket for the game tonight, you’ll likely be watching through the prism of BT Sport if you live in the UK.
The channel will be broadcasting the Celtic vs Copenhagen second leg at Celtic Park on a night where Neil Lennon can guide his team into the last 16 of the competition.
More often than not, when it comes to the presentation of the show, the channel hits the right note. Unlike Sky Sports, there’s not the same number of complaints when it comes to the pundits. We believe this is because BT usually chooses wisely.
Tonight, they’ve done so again as Darrel Currie announces who he’ll be on air with come 7:30 pm at Celtic Park.
Loads more Europa League action Live on @btsportfootball tonight, and we have another big game from Scotland at 7.30pm. @CelticFC v Copenhagen, with Charlie Mulgrew + Johan Mjallby.
See you later ?⚽️— Darrell Currie (@darrellcurrietv) February 27, 2020
Two former Celtic defenders from different eras will be there to give their opinion. Both men have been part of some scintillating and magical nights at Celtic Park. They know what it’s all about and will be able to deliver opinions with the respect of most of the Celtic Support.
If only Sky took this tact. Not that we want all Celtic panels but when the mood calls for it then, yes. Domestically, having impartial pundits who can call the action down the middle without allegiance coming into it would be great.
With Sky Sports holding 100% of the SPFL TV rights from August. The only relief we’ll have his Euro nights when BT have the floor.
They tried for Tom Graverson just to give it a more balanced view but the big man wasn’t having it
Still though, Sky will be glad they never covered that game. Celtic were rubbish. I however really enjoyed it ????
